Andy's Newslather
Happy New Year!
Some news about the A-List. I’ve decided to distribute it via Substack starting next week.
MailChimp has been an excellent provider since we moved to them on July 30, 2021. However, at this time, moving on makes sense. MailChimp has been amazing for us, and I continue to recommend MailChimp strongly for anyone needing a good mass-mailer.
You’re my founding members.
Let me make this perfectly clear: Yes, Substack is monetizable, but you bunch are my peeps. My founding members. The A List will always be free for you.
From your perspective, nothing changes. I’ve added your subscriber information to Substack. Substack may need you to confirm your e-mail addresses. This is a sensible anti-spam measure.
Ch-Ch-Changes
Next, there will be an unavoidable change: The images at the bottom. Going forward, I’ll be linking to infographics and cartoons. Yes, it’s a click on your part, but it’s fairer to the creators. Also, some of you asked for the sources, so direct links is easier.
The new platform may allow include polling, such as for the Nincompoop of the week, hiding bits you don’t care about; and my own international peace prize. Also, some of you like submitting ideas to the A-List. This will be easier.
The archives are on MailChimp, and I have uploaded copies to Substack, for republishing. So, if you’re looking for an old link, you’ll be able to find it in our new home.
You don’t need to join Substack (which is free), but if you do, then you can subscribe to other newsletters.
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me directly. I look forward to continuing to share weird news with you.
I hope your start to 2026 has been a good one.
Kind regards,
Andy.
